Hello, Kitty!

She's here! I spent all weekend running around--bridal shower, bachelorette party, visiting with my mom and sisters who all came to visit, working on random projects--but I did get some quality bonding time with the new kitten.

We've decided (and by "we" I mean "I," as Matt doesn't really care as much...what a dude) that Franklin doesn't really suit her. I was trying out Maddie last night, but I'm not sure if that fits, either. I'm thinking about Callie now, which is cute/corny because she's a calico. But I've always liked the name Callie, and she seems to respond to "k" sounds relatively well, so that might be the one. I'm horribly indecisive. What do you think?

She's super energetic and not very cuddly, but she hates being alone and will follow you from room to room. If you leave the room and she doesn't know where you went, she'll mew pitifully until you come find her. Also, she likes to crawl up on the bed while I'm sleeping and lick my nose. An interesting way to wake up, that's for sure :)

But I love her madly already. She's so well-behaved! She loves car rides and knows that she can only do her business in a litter box...and on the way up here from West Virginia, she waited the whole trip (6+ hours) until a box was available. How awesome is that? She let me clean her ears and trim her nails without any wriggling or scratching, and she even took a pill easily and quickly...without my having to hide it in a treat. She's basically the best kitten ever.

  1. She is soooo cute! I say go with Callie, only because I had suggested it in one of your other posts :) So I am kinda partial to that one, lol! Kittens are so much fun and can really brighten your day! Good luck with naming her :)

  2. I thought someone else had said Callie! Haha, I haven't had the time to be on my computer much these past few days...I barely had time before work to get these pictures loaded! I'll definitely make an announcement when there's a final, for-real decision :)
