I love getting dressed for date nights. Matt and I are at that point in our relationship—three and a half years this month, in fact—where sweatpants are just easier to wear and neither person really cares if the other is put together or not. So when we get a chance to dress up a little and get fancy, it's a nice change of pace.
Speaking of half-anniversaries, this month (the beginning of this month, actually) marks the six month anniversary of this blog! I'm actually a little surprised at myself. I'm not one for long attention spans—that's an understatement, I have the attention span of a five year old. Or a goldfish. Anyway, I'm quite pleased that I have made this far without being bored with the blog at all. Here's to another six (or twelve, or more)!
Update: Just linked to Spunky Chateau's Thursdays are for Thrifters! Lots of great finds up there this week...check it out if you have time :)
Cute date night look! I love celebrating 'half' anniversaries too. Mostly because I will use any silly reason to celebrate. While I do love that I'm comfortable in a pair of pajamas in front of my man I also love getting dressed up for him becuase he's REALLY good at throwing out the compliments (mostly becuase he knows that means I won't run change again.)
ReplyDeleteAw, that's cute! I've given up on looking for outfit compliments. Matt sometimes wears the same shirt two or three times a week...he's not the type to notice/care about style. Which is one of the reasons I love blogging...at least here, someone notices ;) haha!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad you've stuck with the blog over these 6 months. You're a daily read for me!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love date nights. It's a great excuse to dress up and look great.
And I've awarded you the Kreativ Blogger award in case you're interested in passing it along :)
That blue really looks great on you, Emma!! Happy 6th month blog-aversary! :)
ReplyDeletecongrats on the half year! and yes, sweats are nice, but it's always fun to play dress up! and you did it nicely...that color blue looks fabulous on you!
ReplyDeleteSaw your post on spunky chateau's site. Love your thrifted finds! :)
